Tell us about your work

I am a wellbeing trainer and coach. I run workshops, do 1-2-1 coaching and have online courses. I also run a Team Wellbeing Programme and Team Productivity Programme. My backgound is as a teacher and latterly as a staff developer in the NHS and University. I started my business just over 3 years ago and love working for myself. I have been lucky during the pandemic that I could do everything online from coaching over Zoom to running workshops and awaydays over Teams. It also forced me to record my workshops, which has been challenging but ultimately very satisfying.

A typical week

I will work with some coaching clients on a 1-2-1 basis, run a half-day workshop and develop resources such as recording videos or writing content. One week during the month I will work on my newsletter. I don't do enough marketing as that is the side of the business that interests me least.

The best part of my week

Definitely coaching. I love working 1-2-1 with people to help them make changes to their life

My proudest moment is…

In my business I think it is overcoming new technology and producing a good end product. My online course 'Positive Paths to Wellbeing' challenged me in so many ways, but it has now been completed by many people, gets great reviews and has a workbook and planner/journal to go with it. The best thing is I know it is helping people feel calmer, happier and healthier.

Skills I could offer

I can offer coaching and access to my online courses which teach life skills for wellbeing and productivity. The good thing is that people can access the courses at a time that suits them.

Skills that would help me

I need more marketing skills and to keep up with new technology that can help my business.

Self-care for me is…

Being organised so that I find the time to exercise, eat healthily and take time off to be outside in nature and with family and friends.

Marie is offering 1 hour to focus on your life challenges and plan a way forward.
