We continue our conversations this month with Lindsay Reid. Lindsay is a certified body confidence and life coach living just outside Glasgow.

Lindsay talks to us about balancing her week, stepping out of her comfort zone, and of course, skills.

We love hearing from people who love what they do. And in this case, it’s clear to see why!

Tell us about your work

I’m Lindsay, I’m 40 years old and live just outside Glasgow with my partner and our two year old boy. I’m a body confidence and life coach, helping people feel happier within themselves, achieve greater self-acceptance and improve their relationship with food, and I absolutely love what I do!

A typical week

On Mondays I work purely on my coaching business so that’s coaching, creating content, doing admin etc. Then on Tuesdays I am out and about with our wee one for the day, usually to be found in various parks around Glasgow, regardless of the weather! On Wednesdays I get to spend more time on my business and on Thursdays and Fridays I also do some PR work for a couple of other businesses as my former career was in PR.

A lot of my coaching calls are in the evenings so they can get pretty busy too.

The best part of my week

Business-wise my favourite times are when I am coaching and also when I get time to be creative.

Family-wise it’s when we get to hang out together, mainly at weekends, and go out and about with our wee one.

I also go an early morning jog 3 times a week and listen to an audio-book which is a great part of my week too.

My proudest moment is…

Delivering my first Body Confidence Live event at the Concert Hall in Glasgow. It was probably the most terrifying thing I’ve ever done and the fear of failure I felt was huge but it was an amazing day and it was where my passion for what I do was born and was the start of my body confidence events and coaching business.

Skills I could offer

Communication skills, self-development skills around changing your mindset or approach to your body and your vision for your life.

Skills that would help me

Technical skills when it comes to design, video production, and all things technology related really!!

Self-care for me is…

To me, it means taking the daily decisions that help me navigate life better and spending most of my time, where I can, on doing things that help me feel good.
